  in the 30s of the 20th century, swing and jazz music swashed from the united states to europe, affected by influence of gypsy music. especially django reinhardt shall be deemed to be a founder of gypsy jazz in europe. with guitar, string bass and violin, gypsy music became an inimitable style of traditional music, which is still actual today. some twenty-something's from flensburg, germany discovered their passion for gypsy music. inspired by django reinhardt's famous "minor swing", two guys put new strings on the old guitars and tuned them, to get the ball rolling. in march 2008, they started the project. soon later, a bass-player and another guitarrist joined the crew. the swing inc. quartett was born. in addition to arrange own songs, the quartet likes to reinterpret gypsy melodies and spanish music from the 19th century to nowadays.
